On Tuesday, May 27 at 11:00 a.m., please join us for a webinar Tomasz Jurgielewicz, who will talk about Reorganizing Authorizations in SAP. He will address issues such as authorizations, privilege conflicts (SoD), automatic access management, and the impact of authorization on license cost.
AGENDA:
1. Main Features of SAP Authorization
In this section, we will discuss at a high level how the permissions in the roles given to users are structured, and why it is important to remove unnecessary user access.
2. Library of SoD risks and critical accesses
Every security policy is based on the identification of risky areas, that is, those that can directly affect the organization's operations. In this section, we will discuss examples of privilege conflicts and their consequences (i.e. how a particular user can perform a critical part of a business process).
3. Automated access management
A part of the activity related to granting privileges to users can be automated in such a way that the work of authorization teams is fast and efficient and decisions on critical accesses are approved by the relevant teams responsible for the business area.
4. The impact of overly broad licensing authority in the S/4 HANA Rise with SAP model.
If your organization is preparing to migrate Rise with SAP - it is worth paying attention to those authorization elements that can significantly increase the value of licenses assigned to users. RWS has a different licensing model, where the user who is authorized to perform specific activities is counted, not the one who actually performed the activity.
