What is SAP System ?
- SAP
Despite the complexity of the SAP system, it can be described in a relatively simple way as an integrated modular software package used for analyzing and planning a company's resources. It consists of a series of applications that collect, process, and analyze data from across the organization.
It was created in the 1970s by the German company Systemanalyse und Programmentwicklung as the first business management software of its kind.
In relation to the system itself, the name ERP or ERP SAP is commonly used interchangeably with SAP. For many years, SAP's main product was the SAP R3 software. Since 1995, SAP systems have also been available in Polish.
SAP – Understanding the ERP System
ERP systems address key issues related to a company's operation: finance, human resources, logistics, and controlling; dedicated SAP systems have also been created for various industries, such as fire safety, logistics, production, and more.
To make it easier to implement the SAP system, a demo version was created for beginners. It provides a great insight into how SAP works, using data from a fictional company. This way, you can safely learn to navigate the SAP system – the training doesn’t affect the organization in any way.
SAP System Capabilities
Full modularity and the ability to integrate SAP ERP solutions based on a single database allow for implementation using individual system components and customization to meet the specific needs of a company.
Thanks to using a single database, accessing data from every department in the company and doing tasks like analyses, managing payroll, handling accounting, sales, or deliveries is possible from anywhere, which significantly improves workflow in medium to large enterprises.
How Does the SAP System Work?
With SAP, the company's processes are integrated - it becomes possible to create and edit data for each sector at the same time.
This integration is possible thanks to the creation of a shared database that all its units can use at the same time. Each unit can make its own changes to the database, which significantly speeds up information exchange and streamlines and improves collaboration among different departments and employees.
